Bicycle wheel. Upcycle an old bicycle wheel into a wreath full of vintage fun. Simply twine real or fake evergreen boughs around the rim, then wrap it in a festive red rope or ribbon. A simple bright bow would be a great touch for your entryway or door.
Peanut wreath. For a touch of the unconventional, why not create a wreath out of unshelled peanuts? Use a foam wreath form to glue peanuts in their shells to the cover. After that, you can use a burlap ribbon to tie around the whole thing like a bow.
Cookie cutters. Baking cookies on the holidays is a thing, yes. But, how about we take that up a notch by making a wreath that reflects this season! Start by gluing decorative paper to the back of several cookie cutters. Then, glue the cookie cutters into a circular shape. To top it all off, use a pretty ribbon around it and hang it anywhere inside your home for some warm vibes!
Wine corks. If you like saving wine bottle corks, you can actually put them to good use by turning them into a wreath. Using a straw or twig wreath form, simply glue your corks in concentric circles to cover. To add the finishing touches, you can make use of floral wire to bind some sprigs of evergreen and bright holly berries
Sheet music. Music is a good part of any festivity. This holiday season, why not express the musical side of the festivities through a wreath? Get a hold of a few torn sheets of music, then twist or curl them one by one so that you can glue them all together in a circular shape. Add some colorful paper rosettes to the inner ring to craft the perfect musical decoration for your home.
PVC pipe. Not just for plumbing, PVC pipe can be used to make a unique wreath for your home! Simply cut different sizes of PVC pipe into thin sections, then glue them together (with open sides facing outward) into a circular arrangement. After spray painting the pipe a pretty gold or another color, fill the openings of the pipes with colorful ornaments for a festive decoration.
Socks. Look around your laundry room for old or single socks. Before you throw them out, why not try to reuse them by turning them into a wreath? You can trace the form of a wreath onto a foam core. Afterward, cut out the form and wrap it with your socks, making sure to use glue to hold everything together. Then, fit the whole thing back inside the embroidery hoops and decorate.
Ties. Those extra neckties don’t have to be tossed out — you can use them to make another DIY wreath. Use a foam wreath form to wrap and pin your neckties around. Make sure you glue the loose ends to the back so that they’re firmly attached. Some leftover fabric can be used to make a bow and you’ve got yourself a wonderful holiday wreath that’s dressed to impress!
