Best Cat Breeds for Cumming Apartment Living

Russian Blue Cat Walking Around the Legs of Their OwnerWhen looking for pets that are more suited to Cumming apartment life, you can’t go wrong with cats. Cats are quiet and clean. They enjoy curling up next to their humans. But there are some cat breeds that can thrive better in apartment living. These breeds are most often the more social, lower-energy ones that comfortably bond with their people. We list down seven breeds that we believe will thrive best in apartment-life.

British Shorthair

These short-haired favorites of apartment-dwellers are fairly independent yet affectionate cats. British Shorthairs do love to play, but they are usually low-key and like to entertain themselves. Their adaptability to people and their need for very little grooming make them great apartment pets.

Persian

If you are looking for a quiet, fluffy cat, the Persian might just be right for you. These beautiful and gentle cats prefer a long nap to playtime. Persians are about as mellow as it gets. They also do well in apartments with little room.

Scottish Fold

Scottish Folds are greatly suited to apartment life because they are affectionate but not that clingy. They are typically relaxed and are less likely to become excitable or startled. Intelligent and adaptable, Scottish Folds like a stable routine and lots of affection from their owners.

Ragdoll

Big, beautiful, and sociable, Ragdolls are often on the list of popular cat breeds. Their fluffy coats are comparable to Persians, hence they will also need extra grooming. They also tend to have a bit more energy than Persians. Ragdolls absolutely love to play and snuggle with you.

Russian Blue

A person with allergy issues might want to consider getting a Russian Blue. These short-haired cats have fur that is less likely to trigger an allergy attack. In addition to that, there are also other reasons to adopt a Russian Blue for an apartment pet. They are curious, playful, and very loyal to their favorite person.

American Shorthair

If you’re searching for a great family cat, you can’t go wrong with an American Shorthair. These low-maintenance cats definitely love their naps. They also get along well with people of all ages and other pets. American Shorthairs are happy with a perch by a window and your best back-scratching skills. They also live long lives so they are great if you are looking forward to enjoying many years with your pet.

Birman

Another breed with a long, silky coat, Birmans are the friendliest cats around. Playful Birmans make great apartment pets because they also like to cuddle with their humans. Birmans also love napping and grooming themselves. With that long hair, they really do need quite a bit of effort.
